This was the perfect way to kick start my participation in the 100 Day Project. At the end of the 100 days, I should have 14 stickers and at least 28 new fabric designs up on Spoonflower. In the past I have struggled with the 100 Day Project, so this go-round I have set small, achievable goals and recruited an accountability buddy. I cannot stress to you how much more focused my life is with an accountability buddy. I have accountability buddies for a wide variety of things, and without them I am fairly sure that I would just become a full-time bed goblin. So I am long-distance body-doubling this project and I am fairly certain that I will complete the 100 Days with a full sketchbook and stack of goods. Not to mention the general wellbeing that comes from having a regular art practice. And let's be real, the world is in a scary moment of flux and war and we need all the wellbeing we can muster to live through these times. For me, it's helpful to remember that both humans and the planet are resilient. That's all for now--I have to go do my 100 Day Project session before I head to work. I'm posting about it 3x a week over on Instagram if you want to follow along. |
I had forgotten how going places and seeing new things was responsible for my general wellbeing. I took a road trip to Milwaukee this month and came home filled with inspiration. |
